Key Features

Key Features / Benefits:

  • Superior resistance to corrosion and UV-fading
  • Can neatly accommodate both the Lifebuoy  and an Encapsulated Rescue Line
  • Easy to use: Lifebuoy and Rescue Line are held securely, yet take only a moment to release in an emergency
  • Easily visible, yet doesn't spoil the attractiveness of the surroundings
  • Discourages theft / vandalism *
  • Full range of options for installation (see Options tab)

*Trials by two UK Local Authorities in 2013 demonstrated a major reduction in theft/vandalism by placing lifebuoys in a housing, especially if the housing is fitted with a door/cover (eg our Integrated Housings ) - a clear case of "out-of-sight, out-of-mind".

Options

Installation Options:

Wall/Fence etc Can be screwed or bolted to a wall or fence through the pre-drilled holes in the back of the Housing (fixings not supplied)
Railings Rail-Clamps  (set of 3) are available to enable fixing to most standard-sized railings

Pole-Mounting (Hard-Surface) When the pole is to be mounted to a hard surface eg a wooden jetty, we offer Poles with Base-Plates  for through-bolting. The pole slots into the back of the Housing, and is fixed by screwing/bolting to the Housing. Poles are available in either Galvanised Steel or Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP)
