Lifebuoy Housing: Integrated

Artistically-styled to enhance any waterside or marina environment, and designed in consultation with the RNLI. The easy-access door enables fast deployment of the Lifebuoy and Rescue Line, and is both highly visible and yet unobtrusive. Twin legs give a quality ambience, and offer the option of mounting specific signage eg your logo, a safety message, sponsorship or advertising (for more details, please scroll down).

Suitable in both commercial and leisure environments, whether salt-water or fresh-water, and available to fit either 24" or 30" Lifebuoys. A wide range of mountings are available.

*Trials by two UK Local Authorities in 2013 demonstrated a major reduction in theft/vandalism by placing lifebuoys in a housing, especially if the housing is fitted with a door/cover - a clear case of "out-of-sight, out-of-mind".

Installation Options:

Wall/Fence etc	Can be screwed or bolted to a wall or fence through the pre-drilled holes in the back of the Housing (fixings not supplied)
Railings	Rail-Clamps (set of 3) are available to enable fixing to most standard-sized railings
Pole-Mounting (Sub-surface)	We supply Long Poles for embedding/cementing into a soft surface (eg canal-bank). The poles are manufactured from Glass-Reinforced Plastic, slot into the back of the Housing, and are fixed by screwing to the Housing.
Pole-Mounting (Hard-Surface)	When the poles are to be mounted to a hard surface eg a wooden jetty, we offer Poles with Base-Plates for through-bolting. Manufactured from Glass-Reinforced Plastic, the poles slot into the back of the Housing, and are secured with screws.

Note: This Housing is normally mounted on two GRP poles, but we can also supply an Adapter to fit a single Galvanised Steel pole if required (eg because the Housing is to be mounted on a pole which is already in situ, or because a Galvanised pole is more appropriate in your particular circumstances).

Signage:

Optional signs can be fixed to the support legs of the Housing using clamps. We can provide signs manufactured to your specifications, or blanks for you to add your own messages, or we can provide just the clamps for securing your own sign. The signboards are available in a range of sizes/materials - the most popular is in white aluminium 750 x 300 mm.

Note: This option is only available when the Housing is mounted on two GRP Poles (not a single Galvanised Steel Pole).

Whilst many lifebuoys will fit into our housings, the internal diameter and profile of some of them may make them incompatible. We recommend the purchase of our lifebuoys with each housing. Alternatively, purchasers should satisfy themselves that their lifebuoys are compatible.
