Telescopic Rescue System: Rescue Poles & Attachments

Fast delivery of floatation/rescue devices at a distance, typically over water / ice / mud

Designed in conjunction with a leading UK Fire & Rescue division, and ideal for the Emergency Services, the Military, and other organisations involved in water/ice/mud rescues.

At the core of the system is a light weight telescopic pole, with a metal collar to hold a range of rescue attachments which are secured by spring buttons. Each section of the pole is released/secured by a clamp (hand-operated), and the end section of the pole can be supported over water using a floatation ball (also clamped into place).

A wide range of Rescue Attachments is available, to suit many different situations.

Key Features

Key Features / Benefits:

  • Fast, accurate, simple and effective to use
  • Can be positioned more quickly and accurately than using a Throw-Bag (not hampered by the wind or inaccurate throwing), and the casualty need not be conscious or capable of grabbing the line
  • Light weight - depending on the conditions, can be deployed by a single operator; and even the longest (17m) pole does not normally require more than two operators
  • High-visibility end-section and floatation ball, to assist rapid positioning
  • On water, the floatation ball will take the weight of the pole, allowing the operator to swing it over the water to the required location (floatation ball is not normally required for the 5m poles)
  • Poles are available in 4 lengths (5, 9, 13 and 17 metres), and the telescopic design makes them easy to store in/on a vehicle. Manufactured from Ultralight Carbon Fibre.
  • Incorporates an internal Fail-Safe Rope to prevent loss of the vital end-section
  • Requires minimal training of the operators
  • Very low maintenance
  • Manufacturer's Product Life Time Guarantee (subject to terms and conditions)
  • Designed in conjunction with a leading UK Fire & Rescue division, and used in over 25 countries around the world
